While wellness is a combination of things, Young Living Essential Oils have played a crucial part in my wellness journey and I love sharing about these little bottles of gold.
What Are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are the lifeblood of a plant. It’s actually what the plant uses to keep itself healthy (just like our blood is so crucial to our health). Each oil has a unique and complex chemical composition that is made up of a variety of different constituents. As a result, the chemical constituents of each essential oil allows them to work and impact the body in such incredible ways. The constituents are also what create each oil’s individual aroma – providing the aromatic benefits of each oil.

Why Young Living?
Young Living Essential Oils are the only essential oils I use and the reason is simple – quality. Young Living is the oldest essential oil company and the standards they have in place cannot be beat. They are the only essential oil company to own their own farms and their Seed to Seal promise ensures that Young Living controls every step of the process – from planting the seed, to harvesting the crop, to sealing the bottle. In addition, they conduct stringent in-house and 3rd party testing on every batch and if an oil does not pass the standards set in place by the Young family, it does not go into the hand’s of their members – period.
But it is so much more than essential oils! Young Living believes in the power of essential oils, but they also believe in overall wellness. Which is why they offer products for the home, for our bodies, for our children, for our kitchen and even the most amazing natural makeup line. They infuse the power of essential oils throughout their products to offer whole body and home wellness.
How Do I Use Essential Oils
You can use essential oils in three ways: aromatically, topically, and internally.
- Aromatically by putting essential oils in a diffuser or inhaling directly from the bottle.
- Topically by applying to the skin, always diluted in a carrier oil.
- Internally by placing in veggie capsules, food or beverage (look for labels that specify internal use!)
